Who we are

For 30 years, MACAI has been sharing their Ancestor's history, Traditions, and Culture on a range of immersive cultural experiences for domestic and international visitors at Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park, recognised as one of South Australia's most Culturally significant Aboriginal sites just 100km from Adelaide

Ngaut Ngaut

Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park is a sacred site on the eastern bank of the Murray River, about 90km from Adelaide. For thousands of years, it has been a place of deep cultural and spiritual importance to the Nganguruku people. Co-managed by MACAI and the Department for Environment, Water and Natural Resources, the park offers guided tours that share ancient stories, including the Black Duck Dreaming.

Since 1994, MACAI has led a small cultural tourism business at Ngaut Ngaut. The aim is to protect heritage, create opportunities for community, and keep culture strong on Country. With mostly volunteer support, it has become a respected destination for schools and visitors, with room to grow and inspire future generations.
